We offer both full-year boarding, as well as the flexible Experience Canada program, which provides for short-term stays of 4 months.
We are the perfect size - with 600 students in total and 125 boarders, we are small enough that you will feel known and cared for, but large enough that you will find your people and social group.
There is always so much to do! With multiple gyms, an indoor ice rink, sports fields, and our very own radio station - plus great off-campus excursions, our students stay busy.
A wide variety of sports are available including: Basketball, Volleyball, Soccer (Football), Track & Field, Skiing, Hockey, Badminton, Climbing, Table Tennis, Ultimate Frisbee, and more!
Dramatic Arts, Visual Arts, Music, Vocal Music and Stage Band courses are available and are housed in our brand new building, West Lake House

Info: Pickering College is located in the town of Newmarket, 30 minutes (45 km) north of Toronto. This is the ideal location for boarding student experience, as it is close to Canada's largest city, while being situated in a small-town that is walkable, safe, and welcoming.
The historic 14-hectare campus is in the heart of town and the buildings speak to history and tradition, while providing leading edge learning spaces. Ample recreation space include three playing fields; a baseball diamond; a rubberized surface track; a fully-equipped athletic complex; and an indoor skating arena.
The newest building, West Lake House, provides nearly 5,000 square-metres of new academic space, including cutting edge Science Labs, a Fine Arts Wing with Art, Music and Drama studios, and a 600-seat Assembly Hall.
The school also has an agricultural and outdoor education facility - Blue & Silver Farm - which is located on 30 hectares of land, just 10 minutes from the main campus.

Academics: We are an academically rigorous, university-preparatory program. Students that study at Pickering College long-term graduate and attend top universities both in Canada and around the world.

Support Programs: Faculty Advisors in a 9:1 ratio meet regularly each week and eat lunch together 3 days per week. Dedicated boarding staff with full-time permanent House Directors and House Parents in each residence. Full-time Counsellor and Health Centre staffed by Registered Nurses. Guidance Counsellors. Students at Pickering College feel very well supported.
Summer Programs: We offer a Global Leadership Summer Camp that combines a fun Canadian vacation (excursions to Niagara Falls, Canada's Wonderland, CN Tower, Aquarium, Major League Baseball game, etc...) with a meaningful leadership program that includes workshops and action projects connected to UN Sustainable Development goals, prototyping, and outdoor education.

Info: Residences rooms are doubles (two students per room) with shared washrooms. Facilities are well-maintained and frequently renovated. Students feel well supported with 24/7 staff supporting student wellness including a House Director and 2 House Parents in each Boarding house. Life in boarding is busy with engaging evening activities planned throughout the week and a variety of excursions offered each weekend.
